This walk takes you to visit just a few of the most well-known chocolatiers and pastry shops in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. It is designed for those with more limited time.

Pierre Hermé (72, rue Bonaparte)
Gerard Mulot (76, rue de Seine)
Pierre Marcolini (89, rue de Seine)
Patrick Roger (108, boulevard Saint-Germain)
Total distance: 1 km (0.6 mile)
Duration: allow 1-1.5 hours, depending on how much tasting you plan to do.
1. Start this walk in front of Eglise Saint-Germain-des-Prés (A).
2. Cross over to the south side of boulevard Saint-Germain and go down rue Bonaparte to number 72, where you’ll find Pierre Hermé (B), aka “The Picasso of Pastry.” This is your first stop.
3. Leaving the shop, turn right along rue Bonaparte, then turn left onto rue Saint-Sulpice.
4. Keep going straight on rue Saint-Sulpice until you reach rue de Seine. Turn left on rue de Seine.
5. Gérard Mulot (C) is at 76 rue de Seine (corner of rue Lobineau). Mulot’s shop is a combined boulangerie, pâtisserie and chocolate shop.
6. From there, simply cross the street and you’ll find Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini (D), at 89, rue de Seine.
7. Leaving Marcolini’s shop, go right along rue de Seine.
8. Cross back over to the north side of boulevard Saint-Germain. Turn right and head east. You’ll cross pass several streets, including rue de l’Ancienne Comédie.
9. Continue along boulevard Saint-Germain until you reach number 108. This is the flagship store of Patrick Roger (E), known for his often eccentric window displays.
10. Leaving Patrick Roger’s shop you can either turn right, and head back to Saint-Germain-des-Prés, or turn left, and head towards boulevard Saint-Michel and the Latin Quarter.
