Parisian chocolatier Jadis et Gourmande is presenting a special “painterly” collection of chocolate art.
Exposition Pascale (Easter Exhibit) features the symbols of Easter in the style of 20th century painters…Pollock, Matisse, César, Magritte, Rothko and others.
The colourful chocolate “masterpieces” on display are delicious examples of contemporary (chocolate) art, whether inspired by abstract art, abstract expressionism, new realism….
The theme of the exhibit is also that of Jadis et Gourmande’s Easter collection, which includes a variety of art-inspired chocolate eggs, gift boxes and other goodies.
The exhibit runs until April 8, 2012 at the company’s five stores in Paris.
Founded in 1976, Jadis et Gourmande describes itself as “producteur d’idées en chocolat” (producer of chocolate ideas). The company’s chocolate artists are known for turning everyday objects into chocolate treats.
