Brussels-based Galler was founded in 1976 by Jean Galler, who developed a passion for chocolate at an early age while working in the confectioner’s shop founded by his grandfather in 1930.
After studying with Gaston Lenôtre in Paris and training in Basel, Switzerland, Jean Galler opened his first chocolate shop in Brussels at the age of 21.
Galler was awarded a Belgian Royal Warrant in 1994, and its chocolates are today sold around the world. Still, the company remains a family-run enterprise, with, even among employees, several generations working for the company.
In France, Galler has two stores, in Paris and in Strasbourg.
Galler’s signature product is its rainbow line of 23 chocolate bars featuring fresh pistachio nuts, hazelnuts and pure, natural vanilla.
