Gerard Mulot’s gorgeous shop in Paris’s 6th arrondissement is a sight to behold.
The New York Times describes it like this: “..the jewel-like pastries — like the ruby red raspberry tarts and jade green pistachio macaroons — are as finely wrought as Fabergé eggs.”
Mulot is a master pâtissier, boulanger and chocolatier. And he ranks among Paris’s best in all three crafts.
His chocolate creations feature both milk and dark chocolates, including ganaches, truffles, marzipan- or liqueur-filled chocolates, to name only a few.
The house specialties? Mûre-Mûre, dark chocolate ganache infused with blackberry tea, and Melissa, a milk chocolate ganache with a hint of aniseed.
Mulot’s chocolate cakes and pastries range from classics, such as the Opéra and tartelette au chocolat, to decadent creations like the Délicieux, alternating layers of rich chocolate cake and delicate chocolate mousse topped with a fine layer of chocolate icing.
In addition to his three Paris stores, Gérard Mulot also has seven outlets in Japan.
