Founded by Jean-Marc Rué and Keiko Orihara in 2007, Monsieur Chocolat is a warm and inviting artisanal chocolate shop in the 15th arrondissement.
Jean-Marc Rué previously worked as chief chocolatier at Peltier, followed by a stint with Arnaud Larher, where he created the latter’s chocolate department. Keiko Orihara trained as pastry chef at Liliane, in Japan, and in Paris worked for Sucré Cacao, La Petite Chocolatière and Arnaud Larher in Paris.
Together they make more than 100 kinds of chocolate confections, including silky ganaches, creamy truffles, delectable macarons, candied chestnuts and chocolate sculptures – bottles, cars, airplanes, musical instruments, and even sewing machines.
