Founded in 1887, La Pâtisserie de l’Eglise — Maison Demoncy-Vergne is family-run business that combines pâtisserie, chocolaterie, glacier and traiteur.
The Demoncy family have been at the help since the 1960s, first Anne-Marie and Pierre, and since 1983, their children Clara and Laurent. When they took over the business in the 1980s, the latter teamed up with pastry chef Jean Claude Vergne, who also teaches at l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Pâtisserie at Yssingeaux.
Laurent, a master chocolatier, creates fresh chocolates each day and Clara Demoncy oversees the shops’s traiteur section.
Monsieur Vergne’s chocolate eclairs, millefeuilles and chausson au pommes have all won prestigious awards over the years.
La Pâtisserie de l’Eglise was named best pâtisserie in Paris by Guide Champerard in 1998.

Il saura vous expliquer pourquoi ses glaces à la pistaches ne sont pas vertes .
