Philippe Gosselin, who trained with his father, comes from a long line of boulanger-pâtissiers.
His baguette de tradition has twice been named “Meilleure baguette de Paris,” a distinction that also makes the winner the official supplier of baguettes and petits pains to the French president and the Elysée palace for a year.
Most famous for his crusty, chewy bread, Gosselin is rapidly gaining a reputation for his pastries and cakes.
Here, you’ll find éclairs in rose, pistachio, passion fruit, and poppy flower, in addition to the standard vanilla, mocha, and chocolate flavors.
The store on rue Saint-Honoré is one of the few boulangerie-pâtisseries in that neighbourhood open on Sunday.
