French Chocolate Awards 2018

Winners of the French chocolate awards (Awards du Chocolat) for 2018 were announced on Wednesday at the Salon du Chocolat in Paris, which wraps up on Sunday, November 4, 2018.

Organized by the Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat and Salon du Chocolat, these annual awards recognize excellence among chocolatiers in France and abroad, in terms of both quality and creativity.

This year’s French chocolate awards went to Bertrand Chocolatier (Roanne), Award du Talent; Chocolaterie Signouret (Gap), Award de la Chocolatière; Le Chocolat d’Emmanuel Briet (Epinay), Award de l’Equilibre des Saveurs; Dadou Macarons & Chocolats (Le Vésinet), Award du Chocolat Gourmand; Sébastien Brocard (Saint-Genis-Pouilly), Award de l’Originalité; Chocolaterie Agnès et Pierre (Rodez), Award du Coup de Coeur; Guerlais Chocolatier (Nantes), Award de l’Excellence; Damien Vétault Chocolats (Angers), Award de la Qualité Chocolatière; Chocolaterie Joseph (Périgueux), Award de l’Harmonie des Saveurs; and Saunion (Bordeaux), Award de la Tradition Familiale.

International chocolate awards went to Salon de Royal (Japan) and Ika Chocolate (Israel).

Founded in 1981, the Paris-based Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat (CCC) is an independent group of serious chocolate enthusiasts who meet regularly for chocolate tastings and other chocolate-themed events. The Club also publishes a yearly guide to the best chocolate shops in France.
