Opened a year ago, Un Dimanche à Paris is a marvellous chocolate “concept store” located in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district.
Created by Pierre Cluizel (son of renowned chocolatier Michel Cluizel), this thriving one-stop shop features a chocolate shop and pâtisserie, restaurant, tea room (salon de chocolat), lounge and cooking school in the historic Cour du Commerce Saint-André (6th arr).
This year, Pierre Cluizel’s “Inspiration Noël” collection, skilfully created under the direction of head pastry chef Quentin Bailly, combines the flavours of fruits and spices with rich, succulent chocolate.
Bûche Chocolat Noir “Poire de l’Eden” features the flavours of dark chocolate, pear and spiced tea (cardamom, cinnamon, ginger) and is topped with a shimmering pear and thin pieces of textured dark chocolate.
Bûche Voie Lactée is composed of milk chocolate, salted butter caramel and hazelnut praliné and garnished with hazelnuts and curls of milk chocolate.
The gorgeous Couronne de Noël en Chocolat (wreath-shaped chocolate cake) is laden with dark and milk chocolate mendiants, chocolate-dipped candied orange peel, fruit jellies (Morello cherries and exotic fruits), filled chocolates, truffles and other goodies.
These luscious holiday desserts are available at Un Dimanche à Paris throughout December.
