Following the success of his pâtisserie on rue du Bac, open since September 2009, pastry chef Philippe Conticini has launched a second store in Paris’s 16th arrondissement, at 111, rue de Longchamp.
At the minimalist Pâtisserie des Rêves, samples of each pastry are displayed on a table in the centre of the shop — under temperature-controlled glass bells suspended from the ceiling!
Customers select items from the display and orders are brought out directly from the kitchen.
In this avant garde pastry shop, where the concept of pastry shop has been totally reinvented, the chocolate eclairs are inside out (pastry wrapped in chocolate).
In addition to Chef Conticini’s striking, non-traditional array of luxury pastries, the new location features a tea room as well as a terrasse.
