House specialities include the Gateau au chocolat grands crus, which features a 70 per cent cacao chocolate mousse, a 66 per cent cacao chocolate cream, a flourless chocolate biscuit all covered with a dark chocolate ganache.
The shop is run by pastry chef Claire Damon, who trained alongside Pierre Hermé and Christophe Michalak.
Des Gâteaux et du Pain also sells artisanal jams and handmade sweets, including chocolate bars, rochers, mendiants, fruit jellies and marshmallows.
