Sacha Finkelsztajn

Founded by Polish immigrants Dora and Itzik Finkelsztajn in 1946, this small yellow shop is Paris’s most famous Jewish bakery.

Today the founders’ grandson, Sacha, is at the helm, having taken over from his parents around 15 years ago.

The shop sells typical Ashkenazi fare, including breads and pastries such as strudels, poppy seed cakes, Linzertorte and vatrouchkas (cheese cakes). They also have a traiteur section selling savoury dishes.
