Chocolat Weiss: Spotlight on vintage packaging

As the Salon du Chocolat 2013 prepares to open in Paris (October 30 to November 4), the professional edition of the event, running from October 28 to 30, wraps up tomorrow at Porte de Versailles.

Among the companies present this year is Chocolat Weiss, which in addition to producing and selling gourmet chocolate, makes fine couverture chocolate destined for use by other chocolate professionals.

Chocolat Weiss, founded by Eugène Weiss in 1882, had some of its elegant vintage chocolate packaging on display on its stand at the Salon Pro.

Salon du Chocolat Professionnel takes place every two years. It is a key event where chocolatiers and pastry chefs can meet with suppliers of ingredients, packaging, furnishings and equipment to learn about the latest products and industry trends.

It is also the venue for the bi-annual World Chocolate Masters competition, whose winner will be announced tomorrow!
