Online luxury chocolate seller zChocolat has opened a pop-up store in Paris. Located in the Printemps department store’s ultra-luxurious Boutique Noire, the store, which will remain open until December 31, 2013, features the French company’s gourmet holiday chocolate collections.
zChocolat’s signature gold bullion-shaped chocolates are made with 26 different recipes and feature single-origin couvertures from Venezuela, Côte d’Ivoire and Bolivia. They feature high cocoa content, low sugar, 100 per cent pure cocoa butter and contain no alcohol, preservatives or colouring.
The chocolates are made exclusively by Pascal Caffet, World Champion Chocolatier, at his workshop in Troyes, France.
From now until the end of the year, visitors to the Printemps boutique can enjoy free chocolate tasting of a selection of zChocolat’s products: dark Z chocolate (intense 70-per cent Venezuelan dark chocolate couverture encasing a duo of a lush caramel and crunchy praliné), number 0 (rich praliné made from slow-roasted Piedmont hazelnuts) and number 5 (a 70-per cent ganache from Venezuela).
Founded in 1999, Aix-en-Provence-based zChocolat sells luxury chocolates worldwide via its website.
The company notably sells its chocolates in customisable, handcrafted wooden gift boxes (mahogany and basswood) made in the Jura region of France. The boxes can be restocked with special refills.
