The Awards du Chocolat for 2017 were announced on Saturday, October 28 at the Salon du Chocolat in Paris, currently taking place at VIPARIS Porte de Versailles until Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
Organized by the Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat and Salon du Chocolat, these annual awards recognize excellence among chocolatiers in France and abroad.
This year’s awards went to La Chocolaterie de Point-Aven (Award du Coup de Coeur), La Chocolaterie du Blason (Award de l’Harmonie des Saveurs), Chocolaterie Duceau (Award de l’Equilibre des Saveurs), La Chocolaterie Henner Frères (Award de l’Audace Créative), Chocolaterie Olivier Vidal (Award de l’Excellence),
Chocolat.T (Award du Chocolatier Itinérant), Edwart Chocolatier (Award de l’Originalité), Hasnaa Chocolats Grands Crus (Award de la Chocolatière), Marc Verdant (Award du Nouvel Entrant) and Pâtisserie Chocolaterie Eugène (Award du Chocolat Pour Tous).
Internationally, Oberweis, in Luxembourg, received the Award de l’Excellence and Tokyo Chocolate (Japan) was given the Award du Coup de Coeur.
Founded in 1981, the Paris-based Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat (CCC) is an independent group of serious chocolate enthusiasts who meet regularly for chocolate tastings and other chocolate-themed events. The Club also publishes a yearly guide to the best chocolate shops in France.
