Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini today opened his newest chocolate store in Paris, on rue Saint-Honoré (1st Arr.).
The stunning new Haute Chocolaterie boutique showcases Marcolini’s gourmet creations on one of Paris’s most upscale streets.
The store, Marcolini’s fourth location in Paris, boasts a gourmet chocolate counter, macaron carousel, sweet treats bar, tasting area and “Chocothèque.” Through it, the chocolatier aims to offer visitors a sensory experience, a place where they can get a close-up look at the company’s various products and the raw ingredients they are made with.
“If every last cocoa bean has been meticulously screened by a careful eye that is passionate about the product, whose nobility is enhanced by high-precision skill, you have to do it justice. In an environment where white marble contrasts with the bright colour of brass and raspberry red lacquer, where light plays with the creations on display and music makes the aromas dance, nothing has been spared. The refinement of the venue puts the focus on taste, releasing new sensations. It is a certain idea of happiness…”
Rue Saint-Honoré is also home to Jean-Paul Hévin and Michel Cluizel, both only a few doors away.
Brussels-based Pierre Marcolini has 30 stores worldwide, in Belgium, France the U.K., Monaco, Japan and Kuwait.
The company plans to open more stores in France and the U.K. in the second half of 2014.
