Best French chocolatiers for 2013

The Awards du Chocolat for 2013 were presented on Thursday, October 31 in Paris at the annual Salon du Chocolat, which runs until Sunday, November 3.

Organised by Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat in partnership with the Salon du Chocolat, the annual awards are given to the best chocolatiers in France.

The top French chocolatiers for 2013 as selected by the Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat are Sadaharu Aoki (Paris), Gilles Cresno (Rueil-Malmaison), Johann Dubois (Saint-Brieuc), Franck Fresson (Metz), Fabrice Gillotte (Dijon), Jean-Paul Hévin (Paris), Pascal Lac (Nice), Arnaud Larher (Paris), Hubert Masse (Enghien-les-Bains), Nicolas Cloiseau (Paris) and Christophe Roussel (La Baule).

The award for best foreign chocolatier went to Hironubu Tsujiguchi (Tokyo).

Founded in 1981, the Paris-based Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat is an independent group of 150 serious chocolate enthusiasts who meet regularly for chocolate tastings and other chocolate-themed events.

Each year the Club publishes a guide to the best artisanal chocolatiers in France and elsewhere. The 2014 edition of the guide can be ordered on the Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat website.
